The Festool DF 500 Q-Set DOMINO is the “why didn’t all joinery tools work like this?” machine. Instead of fighting alignment, clamps and complicated jigs, you route clean, repeatable mortises with Festool’s pendulum milling principle—so your joints land where you want them, stay rotation-proof, and glue up fast. It’s purpose-built for furniture and cabinetry work, but it’s equally at home with frames, panels, mitres and even smaller cross sections where accuracy matters and movement must be controlled.
The DF 500 combines the accuracy of a round dowel with the strength and anti-twist stability of a traditional mortise-and-tenon feel—without the drama. Built-in stop pins speed up repeat spacing, the fence adjusts for height and angle work, and dust extraction keeps the mortise clean so the cutter tracks true.
